Alexander McQuarrie was called to the Bar in B. C. in 1981. Since then he has practiced civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury law. As a result, he has considerable trial experience.

From 1999 to 2010 he worked in the litigation department of ICBC defending against personal injury claims. In June 2010, Mr. McQuarrie joined Stephens & Holman bringing his experience to practice exclusively as a Plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer.

His clients over the years have had a variety of serious injury claims including brain injuries, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain  and psychological injuries. These injuries have resulted in various economic losses such as wage loss, complex business income losses and loss of earning capacity. Mr. McQuarrie selects the appropriate medical, financial and engineering experts that may be required to prove these damages.

Before attending law school Mr. McQuarrie obtained his B.Comm and MBA from UBC. He worked as a real estate consultant and licensed realtor. He has been active in the New Westminster Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy skiing, travelling and spending time at their cabin in Point Roberts. They have one son, who is embarking on a career as a Lawyer.
